About the job
The appointees are expected to conduct high-quality research on emerging pathogens and their infection/transmission/evolution mechanisms in a vibrant multidisciplinary research team. Translational research is also expected.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological/biomedical sciences or a related discipline. For post (A), they should have strong expertise in research areas of human and/or animal virology. Research experience in arbovirus, viral proteomics and genomics, virus-vector-host interaction or pseudoviral systems would be an advantage. For post (B), they should have strong expertise in research areas of molecular microbiology. Research experience in microbiome, bacterial genomics, antimicrobial resistance and bacteria-phage interactions would be an advantage. For both posts, applicants should have a solid track record of research publications, a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and demonstrated capacity to conduct independent research in the respective areas. They should be self-motivated, organized, detail-minded, hardworking and able to work well in a multidisciplinary team. Both fresh Ph.D. graduate and experienced postdoctoral researchers are welcome to apply.
