We survey wild life animals (such as swine, pangolin, rodents, mosquitoes) to report the epidemiology and evolution of their hosted bacteria & viruses.

We also conduct metagenomics studies to monitor the presence of antimicrobials-resistant pathogens in the environment.

We develop bioinformatics software on phylogenetic construction, visualisation and antimicrobial resistance detection, and we share it with the research community.

We take an active stance in applying our research findings / projects on detecting emergence of novel pathogens and improving global public health
